Halifax Reward Acc Switching query

Hi

My wife recently switch her current account from First Direct to a Halifax reward account. We've set up a couple of direct debits and have already received the £100 switching bonus.

For various reasons it now looks like a second joint Santander 123 account would better meet our needs.

My question is: does anyone know if there is any penalty for closing the Halifax Reward Account only 2 months after getting the £100 bonus?

Does Santander pay any bonus for switching? If not, why not just open a second 123 and keep Halifax for a monthly fiver?

I recently switched from NatWest (had to open an account to pay my loan with them off) to the Halifax for the £100 incentive.

I closed the account earlier on in the month (switched to Yorkshire Bank for the £150 incentive) and haven't been penalised.
