Hello all,

I have a optiplex 3020 and I clicked on updates and restarted the computer.

However now the volume is really quiet from the speakers, it kind of sounds like a echoy a little bit and kind of tinny sounding but really quiet? How can I get it back to normal?

Ive managed to turn up the volume but its still echoy and tinny sounding.

Thanks in advance!

It can be on max for speakers, but low for the application(s).
Is it at full for the application in question?

    Might be this:

Right click on the volume icon in the bottom right taskbar, open volume mixer select the speakers, click the speakers, should show another window with 4 tabs: General, Custom, Enhancements, Advanced., put a tick in "loudness equalization", click apply

Since you think this was the result of an update ... if all else fails, perhaps try going into Device Manager and locate the sound device, select Properties and roll back the driver to the previous version.
