How much have I actually lost?

in Credit cards
I paid a deposit of £359.70, plus a £5.40 fee, for a holiday with my Nationwide Select credit card with .5% cashback.
This will be paid in full on 8th March 2015 from money earning 3% in my Santander 123 account.
What will be the difference in cost if I had paid the deposit today using my Santander 123 debit card?
I will be paying the balance of my holiday, £2038.30, with my Santander 123 debit card on 1st July 2016 unless, giving I'm a retired near 70 year old, someone will give me a 0% credit card.
I have 4 credit cards already with a total credit limit of £20,000.

Fee - £5.40
Cashback (on full amount paid) - £1.83
Interest on £359.70 for 39 days @ 3% AER - £1.15
Net cost = £5.40 - £1.83 - £1.15 = £2.420 -

Don't forget the card interest, as it's not being paid off until March.0 -

It is always best to pay a part of something like a holiday on a credit card, as you then get the s75 protection.
