- rang 0345 2700 700 on my mobile @ 1400hrs
- answered 4 quick questions
- put through to a English human
- total phone time 12.2 minutes 5 of them waiting 7 actual interface time
I asked 2 questions, which were (1) what was the total kWh used in a year and what % of that total 365 days were night units. The answer was :
Days 365 to ....... 02 January 2016
Night ................ 3,990.693 kWh
Day .................. 4,404.875 kWh
Total ................. 8,395.568
Night Units % ..... 47,53%
Tariff End Date ... 31st March 2016
I then compared that information to the identical information on the very bottom of page 2 of the *.pdf statement for that period and it was identical and correct - it is however not shown where most people would look in their graphical display dashboard.
My point
- everyone whines, my SP telephone contact experience was good
- I like, and am happy to pay for 22ºC on E7, which makes me a heavy user
- my night units per annum are 47,53% of the total which make me happy
- anyone wanting to compare E7 tariffs needs to know only two things (1) total kWh per annum and (2) % split

Not quite everyone, just the tens of thousands of unfortunate customers who have discovered that SP Customer Support couldn't find their posterior with the terminal part of both upper limbs0
