  • that would depend on why it needs doing - how many rads not working - how long has the heating had the blockage problem - do any valves need changing (they often do) are drain cocks fitted. Power flushing can be a pain for the plumber in that disturbing all the crud can lead to more problems including pump failure. If its really bad remove offending radiators, flush them through outside and fit new valves. And ALWAYS use an inhibitor when refilling system, if you have heated towel warmers they can rust through in weeks without inhibitor, rads will rust through in a couple of years. rough prices, rad valves (pair std) are under £8, inhibitor under £10. Flushing system - I wouldn't quite without having a look. If someone quotes without looking at the job they will either go high, or increase price when they see the job.

    £250/£300 is a average price, i always isolate the boiler and do the heating circuit first, the do the boiler separately, that way less risk of debris entering the heat hex

    I charge £450 for a power-flush.

    My company charges £600 as standard.

    As stated BG will be higher.
