Parking Eye - Crown Wharf. Walsall

Good afternoon. Hopefully someone can help me (and my Mom) with a little problem we have with Parking Eye. To cut a long story short, my Mom had parked legally on Crown Wharf carpark, Walsall and had displayed a ticket. However she has now had something through the post saying she is being fined for not correctly displaying a ticket. The first one of these “fine” letters came through about 6-8 weeks ago. They then sent another one through a short time later, and my Mom (rightly or wrongly) ignored them both as she knew she had parked correctly and displayed a valid ticket. However she has now received a 3rd letter saying unless immediate payment is made then court proceedings will be started. Naturally my Mom is a little worried. What’s the best course of action, any advice ??

ignoring the letters was a bad start
PE can and do and will take "mum" to court for this
please read the NEWBIES sticky thread for info and advice
if she has missed the appeal deadline, then she needs to think long and hard about it, as the only other option is a landowner cancellation0 -
Many thanks, will take a look now !! Apologies for being a "newbie" - we were all there once !! :-)0

yep , we were, but since Beavis lost his case last november you will find these parking companies on a roll
it would help if she still has the ticket, but most people discard them far too early, so no proof a ticket was displayed etc either (without it)
in future, make sure she and everyone else appeals these parking charges, and get them to sign the Beavis petition on the government portal too
you can read up on the latest sc@ms from them on parking pranksters blogsite
PE will follow up on those threats , so if she continues to ignore then she better get her ducks in a row0 -
There will be a picture in their evidence of your Mum's windscreen. This should show that the ticket was properly displayed - if it was. No picture means they have a real job to prove it.
If, on the other hand, the ticket was incorrectly displayed or out of time, then come back again and we can tailor advice.
But a ticket displayed incorrectly does weaken a case based on incorrect signage and we have to take other routes. A ticket showing a slight overstay is another matter.
So, please look at the photographic evidence and come back0 -
Thanks Guys Dad, will speak to Mom shortly and post her reply0

Crown Wharf Store Managers & Restaurant Managers can cancel this if she is insistent and quick. DO THAT NOW. DO NOT HESITATE.
But she must also go online and use PE's contact us webpage to send them the proof of spending there and proof of paying the parking fee too if she still has it. BUT ONLY after reading the NEWBIES thread and learning about why the registered keeper appeals, NOT the driver, not saying 'I did pay & display'.
If the letter is a Letter before Claim she should also email PE, whose email for cases being 'enforced' pre-court is:
enforcement@parkingeye.co.uk
... with the proof of patronage, bank statement etc plus proof of the parking ticket if she still has it. Please don't post just to tell us she has binned it. The rest of the advice still stands & it changes nothing. Ignoring was a silly mistake, now be proactive to rectify it before she is sued.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
