DLA to PIP assessment still waiting

Options
I am currently on a DLA higher rate indefinite award and have been for years. Last year in June I was called in for a PIP assessment which I attended and made my case for PIP. I have heard nothing since then' over 6 months later. Is this normal I have a Mobility car and wonder what is going to happen. It seems such a long time without any news, what sort of timescale is normal? Thanks for your help.

i'd phone them and ask whats happening.
it isn't unheard of for claims to go 'missing' whilst awaiting a decision.

when i asked for my DLA to be reassessed, they made a decision and filed the claim without either actioning it or writing to tell me the result

Or you could let sleeping dogs lie?
  • Thanks for the replies. I'm very reluctant to contact them I'm keeping my head down, but I am getting curious about the 6 months delay and just wondered if anyone else had experienced this.
  • If I was you, I would chase it up...

Well here I am now, fully one year since June 2015 when I was called in for a PIP assessment and I've still heard nothing, maybe they've forgotten me. I'm still getting DLA so I'm not that bothered, just curious anybody any ideas why I've not heard yet? Thanks.

You could just ring them to find out why. No one can give you the answer here, only they can.

I don't want to draw attention to my particular case. I just wondered if anyone was in a similar situation.

I agree with you, leave it be and carry on getting your DLA. As long as they are still paying you its not up to you to chase them up, you did your bit and attended when told.
