Npower issue!

Options
Hi All,

After moving home from my rented flat to my parents’ house i was hit with a £1500 bill from Npower. Which i queried and queried but they insisted i needed to pay. I set up a repayment payment plan with them.

Two weeks ago i received a letter from Npower informing me this was an error on their part and that i would be refunded £707 in the form of a cheque that i would receive it shortly.

Still hadn't received the cheque in December and as £707 would sit quite nicely at this time of year contacted them via their online chat where they informed me that no such record of this was recorded their end and that they had no record of even sending the letter. They've now asked that i scan the letter to them and it will be investigated. I then called them and was informed it was being processed.
Fast forward to now and I’ve Just spoken to Npower again who have said that my final bill hasn't been generated yet. Despite me moving out of the property two years ago now and the letter informing me i would receive a refund of £707 and a phone call confirming that the cheque was to be sent out. Where do i stand?!

  • Hi Vicky,

Managed to speak to customer services who are sending out a cheque for £100. Not quite the £700 i was hoping for but if it makes this all go away then excellent.
