Internet access when in Norway

The Daily Mail say that I have to be online to read the daily newspaper on my Nexus tablet. This would be very expensive as the internet on the Hurtigruten boat is very slow. Is there any way around this.

Do without the DM for a few days and watch the scenery? Failing that, that route puts into port regularly, so you could use local wi-fi services?
But 'slow internet' does not mean you will pay more, as the roaming charge is based on data usage, not time online. However, data roaming is always expensive.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Ditch the DM for the trip and take some books with you whether in physical form or electronic form on the tablet.

Three offer feel at home roaming where you can use your uk data at no extra cost. Would you be able to pick up signal on the boat?

This may not be conventional roaming.

Ships often use satellite connection which can be very expensive. I don't know whether Hurtigruten uses satellites or whether land-based connection is possible.

I suggest OldGables contacts Hurtigruten. They should know.

I did a trip on Hurtigruten's Nordkapp a couple of years ago and didn't find the free wifi slow at all, especially if you sit near the coffee shop......;)
