Do not switch to them. they are the most incompetent bunch of lying idiots on the market.
We moved house in July. took final readings on old house. and new readings on property we were moving to.
we then got asked 2 weeks later for more readings. then they said they'd have to open a new account for the new address. we then started to get double direct debits.. in effect paying nearly £200 a month for gas and electric. way above the £65 we paid before. when we checked they had applied the new readings to the old address, and closed our new account down.. so, and they admitted it, we were paying 16 yes 16 times what we should have been. we asked for a refund as we'd payed nearly £900. and were given 1 interin payment of £150. we now cannot get an answer, have had 8 supposedly dedicated agents who have failed to call, or resolve.. now onto ofgen but they're a bit too close to these companies. after that I will take them to court.. just read their facebook page.. literally hundreds of complaints some household bills of £3000 for the same reason.. avoid if you can!

At least they switched you. They couldn't even manage to do that for us and just cancelled the switch request wrongly claiming that is what we requested.
(I think we had a lucky escape)
Anyway, in your case I would simply remind you and all others that pay by direct debit, no matter which supplier it is, that you are fully protected by the terms of the Dirct Debit Guarantee.0 -
They are not called FUltity for nothing. Can't do anything right. Even the simplest things such as a straightforward internal tariff change turn into an escalating nightmare. Avoid at all costs.0

They are useless had ongoing probs with them since 2014 when i joined, dont use customer meter reading only estimated especially if you dont use enough energy compared to the national average, and so make the numbers up to suit them, dont set up payment plans properly or try to take more htan agreed, forever putting my monthly payments up, never admit they are in the wrong and the ombudsman dont want to know as they all matey with the FU CEOs which id never switched to them, oh and cant make head nor tail of their bills when i get them if their billing dept is working xxx0

I guess all companies have their issues but i have been with First Utility for years and never had a problem. I keep renewing with them as they always offer me a very good deal.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
