nCrowd stole my money

Hello everyone!
I have bought a few deals from an online vouchers company ncrowd (former kgb-deals).
Some of the deals were not available and the company issued account credit, which i could use for buying other deals.
However in December 2015 when i tried to log in to their site, i found a notification that they are going through a liquidation, and given some contact details for further enquiries regarding the money they owe. None of these contacts got back to me, when i wrote emails asking to give me back my money (about £40).
Today i saw that they have reactivated their site and seem to be back in business. My login still works, they kept all my data except for the store credit.
Will be grateful for any advice on how to get my money back from them. Thank you!

Unfortunately the company was placed into liquidation and the website is now being run by another company that is not responsible for any liabilities of the previous company.

In my view it is very unlikely you will receive any money back. (You are an unsecured creditor and it is likely, in my view, that any money remaining in the business will be fully used paying higher ranking creditors.) Hopefully I am wrong and you will get at least some of your money back at some future point. (Note that if wish to register a claim you need to contact the liquidator’s office.)
  • I'm sorry but you knew this company were a bit dodgy (offering deals that weren't actually available). I had this problem with Wowcher. Big company, but wasn't sure of them, so I paid via paypal, deal didn't turn up, didn't even do more than one email asking for refund from Wowcher (which told me to go through their customer services process but due to lack of clarity it seemed like another 'treat the customer as a fool and put them off forever thing').., went straight to paypal I got a refund immediately. Never dealt with them again.

You took a risk, you knew they were dodgy, you continued to deal with them, you got burned. Time to learn the lesson. Greed rules over sense (getting a deal time, wow lets put the brain cells away).

As the company has gone bankrupt, you are unlikely to see your money again.
