Ikea for me.
just done the fourth one, using their 'new' range for the first time.
As previous;y , everything was delivered as it should have been, 25 year warranty on units, not that it means anything, as everyone will change in a much shorter time scale.
You use their on line planner, price it as you go along and don't need to haggle.
find your own installers though - much cheaper than their contractors, who charge about £100/unit.

I had a local independent. They make their own carcasses and buy in doors, fittings etc. They worked-out similar in price to Howdens higher range, but I also got an excellent discount on Neff from them (Avoid Lamona and other non-brands.)
They had their own fitters, so it all went in very smoothly and efficiently, apart from the holes left by the Germans failing to make ovens for much of the year!
Who did you use?
Regards

Wickes kitchens are nice quality and good aftersales support (I had a door that split after a few months, replaced without any issues).0

I've not purchased a kitchen myself yet but my mother in law's is from Howdens.
Its 4 years old and seems to be wearing well, quality seems good too.0 -

Independent kitchen co will give you a better service and product overall. Just research your fitter, he will be fitting your ££££ hard earned. If you go to one of the sheds make sure you get their best fitter, don't be fobbed off with all our fitters are very good.0

Not always, the kitchen industry is no different from any other industry , there are good companies and bad ones.
Do small independent pubs always give better service or better quality of food than the large chains?.
Do small independent garages always give better service or a better deal on the price of a car than franchised dealer?
A few years ago I worked for a couple who owned a boutique guest house and they had a new kicthen supplied and fitted by a fairly local independent Kitchen company who marketed the kitchen they sold to the couple as being a "commercial bespoke kitchen" when in fact what they received was a poor quality ,standard built, mass produced kitchen for which they paid a premium for.
Independent doesn't necessarily equate to good quality, good service and good price.0
