does this sound right?

we moved into a new flat - the bill I have received for gas, from 1 Apr - 3rd Aug 07 is £77.

As its been summer we've only used the gas to heat water (everything else is electric)

Is this a bit steep or am i just being daft?

What is the actual number of units used?
Not the cost in pounds as this may include a standing charge for instance

Is the bill estimated or based on a real reading?

PS And check your meter, is it Imperial or metric & have the gas co messed up the conversion?
