Large Order to Denmark, Buyer Refused Delivery & Opened Returns Case

The returns case has now been closed,
as he's opened a Paypal Item Not Received Case
Uploaded Tracking & responded with the details so far.
Unbelievably he has also sent me a payment request for the full amount, which I've cancelled0 -

Wow! Like you would trust him not to continue with his cases if you actually fell for that!
A horrible situation to be in, though
Did you manage to get the item returned? 0 -
Yes, its back here & the courier charged us £99.88 [£80.50 + 3.4% Fuel Surcharge + 20% VAT].
The buyer doesn't have the Return tracking number & has refused to pay the return costs, which I believe is why he has gone down the Paypal INR route, even though the tracking shows him refusing the delivery & even his messages are mixed, first he claims he didn't get the item, then he has returned it.From Buyer –

I did not get the item, and its not on the way to me.

i returned the pakkage to the seller.
he refuse to pick up the return fee.
the case of return at ebay closed automaticly when i opened this case.
i still want to return the item and get my money back.

there is 30 days return on the item.0 -
Well at least you have it back, even if it cost an arm and a leg to do so

Fingers crossed that it is resolved at least some way in your favour - the buyer has been very ignorant and not at all understanding of the costs to you that his change of mind has incurred, whether or not he has a legal right to act as he has.0 -
A PayPal dispute for INR is your worst scenario. The buyer will win.
However, in view of the circumstances - the refusal and him opening a returns case - I would ring PayPal and give them all the information and ask their advice. They are much more business minded than EBay, although ultimately they are likely to rule against you.0 -

Correct theonlywayisup,
Paypal have just refunded the buyer in Full
This was due to the tracking not showing Delivered & only the refusal of the delivery.
Upon Phoning them today, their only offer was to pay 50% of the return cost, which the buyer should be paying on Full.
Also asked for a buyer review of his account, although upon googling his email address, he his apparently a highly regarded professional person in his sector. After careful consideration of the evidence provided in the case detailed below, we have completed our investigation and decided in favour of the buyer. Under terms of our User Agreement, we have debited the following amount from your PayPal account as a refund to the buyer0 -

If Paypal are offering you 50 quid I'd take it.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
We are, although its not the point, as the buyer should be paying for the full cost0

Indeed but is it worth the agro to reclaim the rest. I guess it's more that the buyer has got away with being dishonest rather than the money but give it some time and there will be another buyer along to pee you off instead! In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Phone Ebay and explain to them that the CCR's do not apply to business to business transactions (its a consumers right) and as such businesses are allowed to charge postage both ways as well as a restocking fee.
They probably won't go with all of that but you may get them to compromise and at least pay the whole returns cost.0
