Something else worth a try. I noticed recently one of the home computers wasn't running as well as it should (a bit sticky). After trying all my antivirus/antispyware and file checking software, I decided to give the case a good clean out. I was amazed at how much dust had built up, especially around the heatsink. After giving the insides a right good clean out and plugging everything back in. The computer is back to its old lightning self.

Heat buildup inside the case can affect the way a computer functions. I'm not saying this is the first thing people should do if they have a problem, but it should sertainly be on the list of things to try if all the software options don't work. It can make a difference.
