just finishing off a machine , its the little AMD thing (AM11) in a M350 micro case


this case has 2 x USB outlets hidden behind the Ft panel , I have installed a USB wifi device and a Bluetooth dongle.


on the task bar I am offered the option to "safely eject" them both.


as they are not going to be unplugged , I would like to remove this option for the new user (iriots press buttons!)


is there a simple "mod" , like you do with a usb drive to make windows think its a fixed and non removable object?

The "safely eject" option is offered to flush cached data to a USB storage device.

I don't know, but maybe disabling caching would stop that tooltip from appearing...?

Here's the setting for Windows 7/8, I imagine it's the same for Windows 10.

thanks , I do alter that setting when copying over large lumps of data via a caddy


1: the setting is correct on this machine
2: no tab is available in the wifi/Bluetooth component's to alter


thought this might be an easy one
