Won a holiday to Majorca?

Hello all,

Looking for your wisdom and wise words yet again. ( I won a trip to LA in December, wasn't sure if it was 'real' - it definitely is and we are going in October)

Anyway, something told me to look in my 'junk' email folder today - I never check it. I had an email In there from 20th January, saying congratulations I have won a family holiday to Majorca with the Mirror and On the beach. The email didn't state a timescale in which to reply, just to reply with my contact details and on the beach will be in touch.

My concerns - I have noticed on this site another comper appears to have won the same competition - would there be more than one prize? Also, is 7 days to respond to late?

I really hope it's ok, iv been trying so hard to win a family holiday for the kids?!

It all depends on what the T&C's stated concerning contacting winner
The comp page has gone now it has ended, so can't see them

It would be best to send them an email and see what they say

It seems the other winner posted on 21st -- so it may be that you had to confirm your win within 24 hours

i would reply apologising for the delay. Ive seen people claim prizes including holidays over amonth after winning email.

I looked at t&c of original comp, can't see anything about a reply time scale. I have sent an email explaining it went into my junk folder. Fingers crossed!!!

- search for the original post on here and the t&cs might be linked or listed. (i can't tell you any info cos i don't enter holiday comps)
- reply to the email and see what they say.

- also, check your spam everyday! so surprised at any comper that doesn't tbh. it's, like, basic comping practice!

(sorry for lack of caps. one handed as holding mug of tea!)

I found the comp on hduk and it dosent say in terms and conditions about a deadline to reply. I can't copy the link on my phone. I have emailed back.

Iv only just started comping 2 months ago, lesson learned to check all folders!

If it dosent say in t&c on hduk nor on email (it just said look forward to hearing from you soon) - should I still be worried?

If it's the Daddy's Home one that has already been mentioned in IWIWIW, then I found the page via the wayback machine and there is no deadline mentioned in t&c's

IMO 7 days is way too early to allocate a new winner. Normally you would expect 28 days if nothing mentioned in t&cs and no time-sensitive prize.

I would just reply to the email/chase it up and stand your ground if they say you have missed out.
This is assuming it was the same comp as the other person. Good luck.

ps, take a screen shot of the t&Cs incase they disappear!

I will screen shot it now! I did notice it said one winner - and there's apparently 2! It's the same comp - daddy's home.
