Unlike ITV the Mirror don't set out an exact timescale so who knows what they consider to be a reasonable period? They should really set it out in the T&C's and when running a competition where "time is of the essence" point it out as well.

in the event that time is of the essence and a winner cannot be contacted by TM within a reasonable period TM reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner, in which case the first winner chosen will not be eligible for any share of the prize whatsoever.

Prize must be booked by April 30, 2016 and taken between February 1, 2016 and October 31, 2016

(Perhaps they ended up with 2 to giveaway and there is nothing to worry about)

It is complicated....and involves me too! I don't think it is fair on the company to update properly until we fully confirm the outcome. Sorry to sound cryptic but we will update soon hopefully

Ok, so where do I start, here goes. As it shows in IWIWIW, I was contacted as the winner of the holiday, but it appears that tlc11 had a missed call that day from the same company too, followed up by an email 2 days later. I was advised that someone would be in touch within a few days to book my holiday. However, I was still awaiting this call over a week later when i spotted tlc11's post. It was then confirmed that in fact 2 winners had been notified when there was only one prize (after I mentioned the post I had seen). I thank my lucky stars that both tlc11 and I posted on here or else we would have never have known about each other, but thanks to this forum, we exchanged many messages and kept each other informed of calls we had received. We were told that because this wasn't our mistake, we would both receive the prize. It has taken a few weeks and much frustration and anxiety but i am pleased to say that both tlc11 and I have booked our holidays this week! It has been a roller coaster of emotions and at one point my son was extremely upset because we thought that we would not be receiving the prize, but I can now relax and look forward to my holiday in the summer! I have also made a lovely friend in tlc11 along the way
