Shower Head - Any Recs Please? And Combi Boiler ques)

I've just had a combi boiler fitted, and this has enabled me to finally put my mixer shower/bath tap to use (previously on the previous boiler, the water pressure was too low, so haven't been able to shower since it was purchased 7 years ago!), but was told by the plumber that i may need to replace the shower head as it wasn't spraying properly. I wonder if anyone can advise what to look for. The shower is an over the bath type and I have a concertina'ed shower door. I noticed that the shower head was too forceful and had to re-adjust the head inwards a bit. I would like something that would allow the water to cover me properly, so I'm wondering if there are bigger shower heads for that? Some showers I've had only cover the back and top of the head, leaving my front cold. :o Is that normal for most people, or is it just me?

Hope to buy this at the weekend as I'm longing for a decent shower! I was in Homebase earlier and noticed a sale on their showerheads. One was £39 to £31 (most expensive) and was wondering if that is the sort that would be appropriate for my needs - http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/mira-beat-110mm-4-function-shower-head---chrome-222434

Also, the plumbing team told me that I ought to leave the timer set all day for the heating as the temp. that I set it at will keep the house at the maximum. If it drops, then the heating will reach that level and stops. Is this so? I've been told that it'll only cost about £30 pm for a single person in a two-bed terraced house. (work full-time so out all day) Currently, I pay EON (fixed 1year tariff) £76pm for dual accounts. As I'm allergic to manuals, I don't know if all this is true or not.

    Hi dogstarheaven

Sorry to intrude but thought I'd let you know a bit about our Monthly Direct Debits and how you can take more control of the payments.

To be sure the £76 you're paying each month is covering the usage and not causing excessive credit or arrears to build up, I'd make sure the account is billed up to date. You can do this online. Just pop your meter readings in and you'll have the option of seeing the balance that would result or actually creating a bill by choosing the 'request a bill' option. If you're paying too much or too little, you can use another online tool to make any adjustments.

The monthly amount is based on current prices, past usage and any outstanding balance on the account. The aim is to achieve as near as possible to a zero balance by the time of the annual review. At this review any credit balance over a fiver is automatically refunded. Any debit balance is included in the ongoing arrangement and spread up to the next review.

If you've registered with our website, you can take more control of the arrangement, including altering the payments, through an online tool called the 'Direct Debit Manager.' Comes in handy should circumstances change. Provided the account is billed up to the latest meter readings, payments can be changed by up to 20 per cent up or down. By up to 5 per cent up or down without readings. Before confirming the new amount, we'll let you know by how much we anticipate the account will be in credit/debit by the time of the annual review if payments are changed but usage doesn't alter as expected.

The combi boiler you've recently had fitted could help you save energy. There are more tips about how to save money by saving energy on our website if you check out the 'Saving Energy' pages.

Sorry again to butt in dogstarheaven but hope this is of interest.

If it is too forceful, is it mean too much water flow through?
