Can really recommend Clinique - especially the soap.
It is pricy but a big bar lasts for ages (at least a year) especially if you keep it in the airing cupboard for a few weeks before starting to use it and always make sure it is not sitting in a puddle.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

I found an old coupon and went to the Clinique counter anyway. I had a consultation and given loads of samples. I even bought a new foundation:)

Thanks a lot for this Katiemay! My friends and I are going to our local department store on Saturday, as she is treating me to a 'proper' (ie. not cheapie, like I've got!!) foundation for my wedding a week on Friday!
I think she uses Clinique and so we will definitely be visiting the Clinique counter and I shall definitely be asking for this! Will help to get my skin as fab as it can be for my big day! Thank you.
Does anyone know whether I would need to book an appointment, or do you just turn up? Also, some people have mentioned taking vouchers - do you have to present a voucher, as I can't see one on the handbag website?

    Many thanks

Just a warning for Men going into Menarys in Bangor to get the trial, they are only doing the Womans trial. the lady was very nice though and I got some randam mens samples.
  • I got a full mens sample, hard luck!
  • I went to two different Boot yesterday and got two samples. One I had to sit down and she asked me some questions the other more or less handed the stuff over. I told them that I had used the stuff before years ago (true) so they did not need to explain the three steps to me.

If you go back after a week and purchase the stuff you get something else for free.

Got mine this morning, so thanks a lot!

You don't need an appointment or a voucher, just turn up and ask.
Just completed my one-time IVA :D
  • Got mine now from Boots in Manchester (on Cross Street). The lady was well nice. You can also book in to go back in a week and check that your skin is responding properly. The freebie you get when you buy the stuff is their 'Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer' 15ml deluxe sample.

Also worth pointing out that in Boots between 5th and 25th September you get £10 worth of advantage points when you buy three Clinique proucts (one to be skin care).
  • I went for a consultation, and was given a week's free supply. The lady at the counter gave me a form to fill in, and it went downhill from there on. I only put in my name and address, left out my phone number. She pressed me on that point, and I said that I didn't particularly like getting calls. She said that she needed to follow up, and I said that was fair enough, she had my address and could write.

She told me that I needed to come in a week from now. I pointed out that I didn't get out much, but would pop in the next time I was in the area. She said fair enough, but wanted me to book an appointment now. I informed her that it was scarcely on for Clinique to insist that I come back. And so on and so forth, until she agreed to give me her number so that I could book when I knew when I was next in the area.

Have rather gone off Clinique now!
