I had a 1232 Mini Current Account with Santander, this was an under 19's account, since I turn 19 in April, Santander said in May they will transfer my account to an adult 1232 current Account.
However, I am not sure if this is the best one for me? I wondered if you could advise me.
I have roughly 8,000, I earn about £700 - £800 a month, £400 of which I spend a month. I also have a savings account with Santander, which holds £5,000 of the £8,000 in
I want a simple account that won't charge me anything, with good interest rate. My last account I received £5 a month.
Any suggestions on any other accounts I should be with?

TSB would give you 5% on your money in your current account, consider also a halifax account which will pay you £5 a month and £100 for switching. You could also move your savings if the rates they currently get is poor to a better paying account. Please note that there are some T and C's to keep to.
Hope that gives you food for thought.'If you ain't living life on the edge you are taking up too much room'

Halifax if you pay direct debits.
TSB or Tesco if you don't.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
