Don't know what's happening with my iPad but this morning I opened safari and as soon as i tried to type something into the address bar the page just closed. Anyone able to tell me how to fix this please?

Can you not simply delete the app and reinstall it?0

Possibly caused by the new update? Notice that I have an update 9.2.1 waiting to be installed. Will leave it for the moment.0

It's an issue on the Apple Server side, nothing to do with IOS updates.0

Thanks for that, will go ahead with the update then. At the moment, mine is working fine.....that will be the kiss of death then.0

It's on the BBC so it must be true (although it's unusual for them to offer any criticism of Apple)...

I thought it was just my ipad that had thrown a wobbly. I logged on to this site to ask for help and saw the thread saying it was an Apple update issue. I did what was suggested and yay.... It's working. Once Apple have looked into and sorted out the issue from their end will I have to go into settings and toggle suggestions on again? How will I know when to do that if so?
Thanks for your help on this brilliant forum.0 -

Yes you will if you want the safari suggestions feature to work. Keep an eye on the tech/Apple news sites as they will no doubt report when it is fixed.0
