landregistry-titledeeds.co.uk
this is a misleading company, they took my money and didn't give me the product that I wanted. I have sent them over 30 emails to try to resolve my issue, they offer a service at 9 times the cost of using the land registry relying on people thinking they are visiting landregistry.gov.uk
I wouldn't have mind too much about being ripped off, except I thought I was ordering an official copy paying £23.94. I told them immediately, there site was misleading and ask if they could provide me with an official copy. 30 + emails later, they haven't returned my money or provided me with a refund.
DON'T USE if you need title deed go to landregistry.gov.uk , £3 a copy
owner of site is Roy Mckee
When I googled his name, this was the first result, I do not say they are one and the same but...BEWARE

There are a few sites out there which advertise their services via search engines
Our online blog article explains this in a little more detail and explains how to identify us, the official Land Registry website.“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Land Registry. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -

How did you pay for the service?0 -
Non-delivery aside, the homepage of the website does state:
"We are an independent organisation established in 1998 and are not affiliated with the Government or with HM Land Registry. Official copies of the Title Register and Title Plan can also be obtained by postal application via HM Land Registry for a charge of £7.00 per document."
It also provides a large comparison table, comparing the website's services and HMLR services.
It is a professional looking site but nothing to suggest a scam on the face of it.0 -
I paid by mastercard0

That's why I used it and paid, because in looked like .gov.uk webpage, same font and style. Unfortunately the customer service is unresponsive, and haven't answered my repeated request for resolution . I never saw the comparison information, please direct me to it, I would very much appreciate your help0

one added comment, I was directed to there site from from a a google search for 'official title deed' and the landing page is not the 'Home Page' so you never see the home page, of course the company trade on traffic not visiting there home page. Don't use this company0
