Everyone has to start somewhere and that is a great start - shame about Gordon Brown (I still want to know why if Scotland has their own parliament we have a Scottish PM!)

starting NOW we are cutting out takeaways saving us £150 a month. This will be paying off our overdraft and then going towards a deposit on a house.

Also cutting out my monthly eyebrow wax - SAVING £60 a year - i will either have bushy eyebrows or have to get off my !!!! and do it myself ! Hmmm tough one!

Also cutting out on branded foods and swapping to supermarket brand saving up to £80 a month - thats £960 a year !

Sarah do you live near a beauty college?

I do and I had eyebrow tint and 'shape' for £3.
    I also had a pedicure for £8 - it's fantastic
I can be frugal and look beautiful!!

    worth investigating

Just realised that as it was a bank holiday - I didn't go to work, and therefore I didn't buy coffee when I was out!!

£2.65 saved without even trying :D:D

    Fab idea!!

Mine is lunches at work... I'm always getting a sandwich, choc etc. I'm starting a new job on Monday and have to take a packed lunch as nowhere to buy food so will hopefully save money.

Well we went shopping to Boots (cashed in a load of points on Dr Dragon's contact lens solutions - £45 not coming out of our pockets!) and then to an Oriental store to stock up - so no going to the pub £9 going off the CC!
