How Security System - one of the wireless PIR sensors is broken, what to do?

Hi,
I accidentally broke one of the wireless PIR sensors in the room trying to change the battery.
Is it relatively straight forward to buy another PIR sensor, connect it and install it?
How much would it cost to get a professional to do this for me? It's not a massive job but I want it done right while not getting ripped off.
Any advice?

If you google you'll probably get one cheaper than this

You will need to turn off the power to the alarm in order to change a PIR or you could remove the low voltage feed to it from within the control panel. The reason for saying this is that PIR information leaflet states to remove the power feed to it before disconnecting/reconnecting. If you do this, you will need all the codes for the alarm system as, when you take off the cover for the control panel (and as you have probably discovered now, the PIR) the tamper alarm will sound.
You could risk it doing it "live" - it's only low voltage, provided you don't touch any of the wires together or down to earth.
Edit: Just noticed that is Wireless! Pay attention Le_Kirk0 -

Are you sure its a HOW security system or is that the installers label? Any other indication of MFG on control panel etc?
Wireless PIRs are as far as I am aware, can only be used on same name systems?
You could try alternative PIR, hopefully some one with more knowledge will replyThe world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
Did you get a replacement PIR?
