Finally the old yard is empty and the keys can now be handed back, thus reducing our outgoing. It's a little bit sad as we have been there about 18 years and we went and said goodbye to our neighbour up there.
Loading up, clearing the haybarn and unloading at the other end took most of the day, so not much else done. The tack room is a lot smaller now so will see what can be declutttered soon.
I have cheated a little and ordered 2 new dog tags with new address on from eBae, only £5.80 but pay after delivery so it won't come out until after pay day.0 -
Congratulations. You have done it and now on to the new adventure. I am certain you will go back and visit, but the new chapter starts here.
TxStill striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

Two dog tags for one dog?
Ugh. Need to start on our tack room soon.0 -
You are right tahlullah, the new chapter has begun!
SHS I get two tags so I have a spare, they do occasionally come off, as he does lead a busy life and I can't risk him being without one. It may be a bit mad, but it's one less thing to stress about. Plus we will be getting another puppy at some point soon-ish, so maybe I'm just being super prepared!
Good luck with your tack room, if it's anything like mine it will be worse than the whole house. At the moment I can't find anything.
Today has been brilliant, took the horses out for a short ride in their new stomping ground. Only a short one, but all without incident. Then took the dog for a walk along the bridle paths around the reservoirs that we will be riding around when the horses are fitter. The views were amazing.
Leftover roast chicken wraps for lunch in the garden and reading a book in the sun. Wonderful peace and quiet.
I plan on doing nothing more off my list today, I'm far too relaxed and it can all wait until tomorrow, when I will attack it with a vengeance!0 -
Ooh. Another pup the same?0
-
Yes it will be the same, we will need to wait to see what litters are planned as hoping to get one from similar lines as our current boy, so not quite sure when yet.0

Back to the grindstone today and some invoicing done as well, got to keep those pennies coming in.
Letter has been drafted for termination of lease for old stable yard, so that can go in the post tomorrow and standing order cancelled :T
I haven't actually got much else done, work has been getting in the way again. I need to walk the dog tonight as he hasn't been out with hubby today for his long walk, only a short one, but hopefully I can book a shopping delivery slot for Friday so we can get some food in the house. Stocks are still quite low after moving.0 -
