I'm very sad at the moment
I know it won't be long, but all my precision planning messed up by one lazy person! Still no new date yet and yes at least the packing I can be getting in with, at a slower pace.
All money is shuffled and waiting to be transferred to solicitors. This includes last month's travel expenses, which I have now transferred over, but leaves us at a balance of about -4000 (OD) across accounts. At least we won't have to borrow any off family and is a lot better position than we expected.
The bad news is our 4x4 is broke. Currently in the garage and I am praying it can be patched up as we really need it to move things like feed freezers and jump poles!! Plus DD is expecting to borrow it to move into our current house when she starts renting it.
I managed to convince hubby not to get a takeaway Sunday as we had food to use up in the freezer, tempting as it was. I think he is more onboard with the mfw journey than I thought as he came out of the bathroom telling me he was training himself to turn the tap off when he brushes his teeth as the new house is on a meter!0 -
When he has trained himself will he please train my DH?0

Yaaaaaay 4x4 has returned from the dead once more :T0

Good luck and hope you get a date soon xPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Thank you SSS, me too! I do hate feeling like I am in limbo.
I am really looking forward to 4 days off work now, although I may do some business admin.
We are off out for breakfast in a bit, so it will feel as if we are on holiday, then off to do some more fencing. DD1 is helping today, so we will need to keep her fed and watered. I am also hoping to pack our cloakroom area, or at least sort it out and wash the coats etc. Not too sure if I'm bring over ambitious again.
The person transporting the horses has asked for dates so we can book it, although not sure if we should wait for a moving date. I'm pleasantly surprised by the cost as it will work out cheaper than hiring a box for the day, plus we will have an extra pair of hands to help load! It is also someone local to our new field so will also act as a way of getting to know people in the area.
Hope everyone has a great Easter.0 -
Enjoy the long weekend ETE.
Hope you have some positive news after the bank holiday about a possible moving date. It's just so frustrating not knowing 'when' isn't it.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
So there's quite a few positives too ... great news. Stock up on protein and whatnot in that breakfast2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Two days of the long weekend have evaporated already. I still haven't had a lie in, I keep waking up so early. Tuesday will probably be the day that my body decides it will try and lie in!
Friday the other short side of the field was fenced, so now just the bottom long side to do, but that can wait as it won't be needed for a good few months. Yesterday lots of packing was done, followed by BBQ round SIL's. It was absolutely freezing, but good to sit down for a couple hours.0
