Thanks Watty for taking the time to post your findings. Interesting that the figures worked out roughly the same whichever way you do it.
Lots to catch up on again this weekend, none of it will increase the savings pot, although all essential to keeping the wheels in motion.
Have a great weekend0 -
Well that's another weekend over. Lots of decluttering done, nothing worthy of eBay.
Father's Day present ordered for my dad, bit of work admin done and filing all up to date too. Of course still a list as long as your arm to get through!
Had a lovely lady come to see pony, would be a great home for her so fingers crossed. A bit of a hairy ride on my boy Saturday so a bit of work needed there too.
Must do the mealplan tonight and update the sainsburys shop that's coming tomorrow, even if nothing elsewhere done today!0 -
Fingers crossed that you find a nice home for your pony and you have just reminded me I need to get a Fathers Day pressie for my Dad. God knows what though !0
-
Fingers crossed on the good home for pony! Makes a huge difference when you know they will be good pet parents! Hopefully no more hairy rides for you!

Hope you found something suitable for tomorrow BusyMee. I cheated a bit and sent Thorntons. Always a safe bet! (Through TCB naturally)
Lady came to see pony a second time and seems quite taken with her, so fingers crossed, will know by the end of the weekend.
I've spent quite a bit over the last week, it feels a bit like a floodgate, once the purse is open the money rushes out!!
Dog food came, groceries shopping came, some things for DD2 school trip, a few cheap tops, spray for a pony, a couple dog events entered and a new pair of jodhpurs as I realised I now only have 1 pair of summer weight ones, although the weather we've been having I might be able to get away with winter ones!
Its hubby's birthday in a couple weeks too, so still more spending to go eak.0 -
I also resorted to chocolate- what do you buy a nearly 80 year old who has everything? I know what you mean about once your purse opens it never seems to stop. I am really good when I am working (I don't have time to spend much), but when I am at home I seem to spend loads.
Fingers crossed that hear back about the pony.0 -
Bizarrely I have brought my FIL whiskey marmalade... I bought it in hamper a few years ago, they keep asking me where i got it from as cant find anywhere then last week spotted in aldi.. perfectMorgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

Good find HDK, I bought some whiskey marmalade in a farmer's shop not so long ago.
It felt like I was on the go most of yesterday, walked the dog along the estuary, did a bit of weeding, business paperwork and more decluttering. Walking the dog does give a lot of time for thinking and hatching plans!0 -
Whisky marmalade ... yum!
Any plans you can share yet, EE?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Always happy to share KC! Nothing big and life changing, just ideas for saving/making money and various thoughts on where to store the money etc. and thinking of some more goals!
The business year end is July, so August/September we should get a dividend as there is a fair bit of money in the account owing to a large contract that it still rolling on.
I'm thinking of changing a Lloyds account so I can get 4% on 5k (and cinema tickets!)
Also starting either a pension and/or s&s isa - very small amount at the moment to get the ball rolling.
Planning work to do to move next pony on and whether to part loan the pony we are keeping for DGS and another horse, which would bring in some money, but not sure if I want the hassle.
How much and when to save up for some horse transport - grandson loved riding this week so maybe he would like pony club when older?
What order to complete the remaining house renovations in and timeframes.
Which items I could stick on eBay.
Did I mention my dog needs about 5miles exercise a day, so lots of thinking lol!0
