Gumtree buying advice

If anything, this is worse as OP says it is "new sealed". There's very little reason for selling a new sealed MacBook on Gumtree and even less reason for offering at a discount rate. You can shave a bit off price with MacBooks but anything that is a significant saving should set alarm bells ringing.pulliptears wrote: »
Personally after that I wouldn't touch a second hand one..0 -
I know plenty of people buy and sell second hand computers, but personally I'd rather buy it either new from the shop (wait for a sale or an offer of some sort, search for an old model etc) or if it has to be a second hand one, then get it from a shop that sells re-conditioned laptops, so you have a piece of mind and at least some guarantee. Like all of the comments above, words 'sealed in the box' new Mac would set off my bell ringing straight away.0
