Hi there,
I have just had a quote for £1495+Vat for the following;
- Site visit and assessment for flats above and below
- complete design and drafting of wall removals
- Provide SER warrant
- Provide construction details
- Sufficient structural info to allow warrant to be approved.
I was trying to upload a pic of the floorplan showing the walls which we are looking to be removed. Maybe I am making some basic newbie error.
I am Edinburgh based for what it is worth. This high ? About right ?
thanks

What work are you doing? Do you live in the middle floor flat? Do you have an architect on board?

I am indeed on the first floor. So we have two floors below (if include basement) and two above.
I am removing the larder in the kitchen, the wall between the kitchen and bathroom (while closing door up into 'utility room')
And I do not have architect on board, but I had engaged them both on recommendations at the same time and this was the first estimate / quote I got.0 -
It is really difficult to say - how about getting some more quotes for comparison.
edit: just read that you don't have an architect. What drawings was the SE working from?0 -
I am getting a few other quotes and the architect was round last night so I will have the real drawings shortly.
The SE was working off the floorplan with marked changes but also used experience of doing the same work to a couple of flats further down the street.
I would hasten to add I was just looking for a ball park quote at this stage (until architect has completed his work) hence what he was working from.
And thus I was curious if that seemed high or in the right area.0
