Hi Everyone,
My wife recently got a letter through the post stating she had overstayed her parking at the local Sainsburys car park by 25 minutes and had got a parking charge notice. Her defense being she thought it was 4 hour stay, as opposed to the 3 hours mentioned in the letter. I have checked and it is in fact, 3 hours stay.
Now my question is, can we appeal or get this over turned on that basis?
Thank you very much

Thank you for pointing that out
I thought tickets through parking eye were handled differently?
I take it as the way it's written, it's to the owner? It doesn't state Notice to Keeper.
Any advise will be much appreciated.0 -
all BPA members are handled the same in england and wales
see the NEWBIES sticky thread BPA member section, post #1
can you appeal ? yes, but not on that basis
will it be overturned on that basis alone ? - NO , definitely not
the biggest question is , why have you or she not complained to Sainsburys with proof of purchases and demanded a cancellation ?0 -
Complain like mad to Sainsburys. Tell them that, unless they cancel it, you will in future only shop in a rival supermarket. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
