Samsung mobile firmware update (Marhmallow)

Two days ago my Samsung S4 keeps telling me to install their latest firmware update called marshmallow. There is a pre-installation warning saying it will re-set all phone settings and the home screen back to original settings - so I am not keen to install it. Has anyone else with a Samsung mobile installed marshmallow and how did you get on? Thanks

I have marshmallow on my S6 , I was one of the 4000 beta testers around the world
very little difference to the previous incarnation ,
perhaps now the rollout is happening they will remove this stupid "nag" screen telling everyone I was a beta testerSave a Rachael

Sure it's an S4 and not a Note 4 ?
I was under the impression the S4 was not getting Marshmellow.Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -

That makes a change from the usual 6 weeks Samsung support cycle then.
Edit:
Techradar says differently and anyhow the Note 4 is one of the first shipping as of now. I've my money on it being a note 4.
A separate road map suggests the Samsung Galaxy S5 and all its variants will be getting the update by the end of June 2016. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha though isn't set to get its update until Q2 2016 - by then we may already be hearing word of Android N.
It's not clear whether handsets older than the Samsung Galaxy S5 will get Android Marshmallow, but it's a remote possibility for the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Both of these once-high-end phones were updated to Android Lollipop, but they're now two years old.

A lot of it will be change for the sake of it...
Restore stuff they took away previously. install to SD is back. you could do this with Gingerbread so nothing new. Except a slight improvement in that it can act like internal storage.
New app drawer, your 4 most used apps at the top. pointless... my most used apps are on my home screen. Screens to the left and right of that are my frequently used apps. Why would i want the app drawer for them?
Google on tap oh goody... press the home button and google decides to guess why you opened it and will no doubt waste your data loading something you do not want.
Doubles battery life? really?? Claims to have Doze which monitors and knows when your using your phone.. err isnt that obvious? screens on your using it, screens off but your in a call your using it.
Picture on android pit shows a phones thats been on for approx 8 hours and used 37% of its battery yet says 2 days left???
Each update after Gingerbread seems to be a why have they done that...Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
