M&S Sale Misprice on loads of stuff

Somethings gone screwy with their sale pricing. On some items, instead of having an R next to the price, it has DISCR.

Bought two pairs mens trousers labelled at 9.00 each and two shirts at 7.00 each.

Receipt says "total before saving 32.00"

It then gives another 29% off the shirts and another 44% off the trousers, receipt saying "Balance to pay 20.02".

The shirt was an Oxford Stripe, and the trousers were Collezione Linen/Tencel.

Doesnt look like the extra discount is on all items, so you may need some trial and error to find out which ones are.

PS Trousers were originally about £40 and theyre now about a fiver!!! They do them in dark blue and in cream, each with a matching jacket.

you say "loads of stuff" in your title. What other items are doing this apart from the trousers and the shirt you mention?

Online they were selling at least 2 pairs of ladies jeans for £5, ordered both!

No idea but it was 2 of the 3 items I had bought there, and another poster on this board had the same on something they had bought.

I suspect the only way youre going to find out is by buying a variety of stuff, looking on the receipt, and returning whatever does not come up discounted to your satisfaction.

The bonus discount is in addition to any discounted marked prices.

Can you please post the product codes of the ones you purchased so we know what we're looking for?

    Thanks

Watch out in m & S store for the specially marked sale items which have been reduced so much that you aren't allowed to take them back, even if they don't fit..... At least, they do this in our local store.
The assistants are generally good at telling you this at the till before you pay, and it's usually silly-price things which have been reduced to £1 or similar, so not too much of a loss if you do misbuy. (And there's always Ebay!)
  • the 'disc' means that the items were part of a promotion as well as being in the sale. lower on the receipt it should tell you what the promotion is (e.g. books are 3 for 2, some are in the sale, but they're still 3 for 2)
