Wall Plug Range Extender

Am I right that the TP-Link range extender I have found on the cheap here https://www.pricedropdonkey.com/cheap-electronics/computer-components-peripherals-accessories-deals Will let me take the internet connection from home and extend it to anywhere that is still on the same electrical circuit.
I wanted to boost my internet signal so that I could use it at the other end of my garden. I have a garage there that takes electric from the home. So if I get this and plug it in inside the garage, which is about 20 metres from the house, that I will be able to get a Wi-Fi signal there?

no that's the wrong one , if you are referring to this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1387825.htm?cmpid=COJUN&catalogId=10001&cjsurferid=878303199418641912%3AmO8dMg.SB9qy&_%24ja=tsid%3A11674%7Cprd%3A7899270&storeId=10151&referredURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fstatic%2FProduct%2FpartNumber%2F1387825.htm&referrer=COJUN
then that sits in a 13a socket close to your router , and plugs into your router and "supposedly" gives out a strong wifi signal
you need home plugs for your job , one next to the router and one at the other endSave a Rachael

SO (as per ballyblack) what you want is a pair of these (provides wifi in the garage)

Yes, those are the ones to use. Don't go any near the extenders that pick up the WiFi and retransmit it as they're rubbish for a number of reasons.0 -
OP wants to use it at the other end of the garden not in the house .0
