LG denying me my rights?

I'll look into the warranty but I don't think when I read it it stated a time frame.
powerful_Rogue - Good questions. Too be completely honest I don't know what I want and I don't have anything, at least monetary, that I can point too. Perhaps it has been rash of me to seek 'something' and I've gone about it haphazardly. My desire for some form of money back is the result of the large amount of time I've spent trying to get LG to give me simple answers and ok customer service. Since they haven't shown professionalism and often basic respect, I thought it would be nice to feel that LG or whoever responsible should feel accountable in some way financially instead, even if it's a small part of what the phone is cost. LG particularly shouldn't be lousy to their customers with impunity and in this complicated situation, each party has directed to me to another so I've just been angry at all of them.
I'll just write bad reviews and hope spare others from the same experience. o2 has now given me £20 off my next bill which makes things easier, but it's not ideal.0 -
Thank you all again0

Well that's something, at least o2 have given you £20 despite them not been contacted about the situation prior to this I think that's pretty good of them.
You went the wrong way about it with CW; I often say this on here - people should not outright ask for "compensation" unless they have provable tangible losses else you look like a tool to whoever deals with your request. The word "compensation" really grinds on me as it's almost an expectation or an entitlement that you NEED something from them NOW. It's a demand often spewed by money grabbers out for whatever they can get and the company you're dealing with likely hears it on a daily basis and is wise to it.
The correct way to go about it is a formal written complaint to the companies head office, advising how disappointed you are with them and how inconvenienced you have been - this puts the ball in their court and often they will offer you something as a gesture. Of course you can outright ask for something but please refer to it as a "gesture of goodwill" and not "compensation".
The important thing to remember ultimately however pi**ed off or how much they have wronged you, they don't have to offer you anything at all - so if they don't just move on, don't use them again and post a bad review if you feel you have to - don't waste your time and energy chasing them because you want something off them, put the ball in their court, let them offer it as an apology.
Perhaps to the above to both CW and LG and see if anything comes of it?0
