    Meanwhile, as mentioned, the Revolut prepaid MasterCard is your best travel solution for now, assuming you use a smartphone (Android or iOS). You can load with euros if you still have an account where you lived previously, and even use it to exchange and transfer to your UK account for free at interbank rate.

  • Hi there,

    Have you considered writing to the bank? I'd send them a copy of your ID, employment contract and what wage slips you have got so far. If you can get a reference from your employer this usually helps but might be tricky as you've been in your job for a limited amount of time.

    Also i'd suggest getting on the electrol roll and maybe mention this in your letter with some evidence that you have registered as it may not be instantly updated.

    If not id wait a few months and maybe apply for a sub prime card.
