Thanks Coupon-mad. My resolve has been suitably stiffened :)

I have amended the draft letter in my original post to keep my powder dry just in case Excel are looking in. Of course they may have already.

I'll get it posted today and look forward to receiving a string of debt collectors letters.

You folks have been great! Thanks again :T:T

Whilst checking out his facebook my dad thought he'd visit the Iceland FB page and posted a complaint regarding my PCN and why they employ such an unscrupulous PMC. They have responded and asked for me to contact them with the details so they can investigate further. What do you think my approach should be? bearing in mind my car was never parked at Iceland in the first place.

    No.
My Dad did say I got the NTK despite the car not being parked there. His complaint was more a general one asking why they employed such a dodgy PMC, and just used my case as an example.

Nothing to lose by contacting Iceland and pointing out what this bunch have done.

    Thanks for your reply CM.

It seems Iceland have had a change of heart, my Dad asked for relevant contact details and they deleted his post. I'm sure they know of the reputation of Excel but choose to ignore it. It may be a money earner for them.

I do pass by my local Iceland car park from time to time and it seems it never has more than a handful of cars parked. Perhaps their customers are aware they run a high risk of a ticket.

Put it up again on Facebook. Word it as a warning and complaint.

I have a reply from Excel. Not surprisingly, they reject my "appeal" without any reference to my assertion that I wasn't parked in their carpark or that the IAS would not accept my appeal. They did say I still had 21 days to appeal to the IAS but, as before, I get a message saying I can longer appeal as I am past the deadline.

These companies really are like a brick wall with someone behind it throwing sh** at you! I guess I'll have to get a supply of dog litter bags, pick up the mess and keep it somewhere safe in the hope I get the chance to throw it back sometime.
