Student Discount on Ipods?

I want to buy my gf a pink ipod shuffle for her birthday.
The cheapest I can get is £43 from John Lewis with employee discount however it just occured to me that Im a student. lol
Is there anywhere I can get a pink ipod shuffle from with student discount. John Lewis is quite a drive away from me so if I added the petrol costs on the price of the ipod at JL it would cost about £47 in total anyway.
Anyone know where I can get one with student discount?

Apple do a good student discount direct.
The shuffle is £49 with the Education discount (College).
There is an even bigger saving on items with a Higher Education discount (University). It is around 15% for a macbook so maybe the same for an iPod. However to see those prices you can only log into the website from a University campus or you must buy over the phone (I think they ask you to send them a scan of you Uni confirmation or something).
If you buy online the you can get 3% cashback at the apple store via Quidco.
If you cannot wait then you can buy with a student discount instore at an official apple store. They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0 -

when i had a look it was pittance of a differance n- like 876 on an 899 mac...
granted its £25 but thats nothing when your shelling out nearly a G0 -
Apple removed the student discount on the iPod range a while back now, the Education store prices for iPods are the same as the regular store prices.
Amazon are often cheaper than going direct with Amazon and there's a 5% discount for NUS Extra cardholders.0 -
Can try virgin/hmv - not sure if either of those stock ipods - they certainly do some MP3 players...
Or, could look at getting her a different MP3 player - get her a Creative Zen Stone - looks better, sounds better, does a bunch of stuff the shuffle won't do and you'll get a 2gb for less than a 1gb shuffle...0 -
Yeh but she wants an ipod lol. If i get her something else she wont be as impressed lol.Cashback

You won't get it Saturday if you use free delivery. It will take about a week probably with the free option.
Want guaranteed delivery by 1pm Saturday, September 1? Order it in the next 18 hours and 46 minutes, and choose Express delivery at checkout
You can only get it Saturday by choosing express delivery which costs £8.990 -
