    Debt is as follows:

    Loan to my Dad: £7,000
    Barclays: £900.00
    Virgin: £1,975

    Total: £9,875

Have also had bonus confirmed for the month and I will be able to pay at least £1000 to my debt next month, I feel like I am on a roll!! Not ruining these pay offs by adding to my debt during the month so the £1000 off soon becomes only £400 after all my extra purchases etc. I need to relax with the over payments so I don't run out!!

Of course everything was going too smoothly this month, my boiler has died!! It is making such an awful rattling sound, fires up for about 30 seconds then stops. Hot water still working, but no heating. It is one of the very few last things needed in my house, other than new front door and paint the outside, so I'm not bothering with fixing it, have spent enough the past 4 years, going to bite the bullet and get a new one. Obviously I have no money for this, so going to have to do a money tranfer from Barlcays. After today I am off until Tuesday, so hoping to get some quotes over the next few days xx

New boiler is going in today, with a powerflush, and a magnaclean = £1100, I wasn't sure how much it would be or how long a money transfer would be over the bank holiday weekend, so took out £2000...I have also spent £206 on the hoover I was adamant I didn't need, but I am so glad I bought it! I hoovered my carpet with my Dyson - both carpet and hoover are less than 18 months old, the carpet looked clean, had hoover lines etc...then I used the Shark and oh my goodness, a ball of hair/dust/dirt came off it!!! I have hoovered everywhere within an inch of its life, even my artificial grass looks brand new!! I am converted and never going back!! I saw someone on fb say they used their dyson first and then shark and they too had loads come up - it is amazing!!

    Anyway, back to money....

My sister gave me £150/£300 she owes me and is giving me £150 back next month, and my work gave me £60 for my birthday, so that has helped.

I have rounded my balance on Barclays to £3,000, I could cry that it was £900 last week!!! I have £950 in my bank right now, I don't know if I should pay it back or keep it as a real emergency fund....it cost me £38 to take the money transfer in fees, I know I should have only taken £1000 now and paid £19.00. but now wondering should I keep this in an account seperate....hmmm xxx

Infact change of plan, just as I have wrote that, I will use the £950 and try top it up to £1000 before pay day and use it to start paying my Dad back. Worst case scenario I can borrow back from there with no fees - decision made, I feel better!

After work going to list that wallpaper on Facebook to help make £50!!

This is mostly for my own reference to look back on -

    Debt is as follows:

    Loan to my Dad: £6050
    Barclays: £3000 :(
    Virgin: £1,975

    Total: £11,025

But a new boiler was needed, and was going to happen sooner or later, so at least it didn't happen bang in the middle of winter, especially with a baby!!

  • It is frustrating when these things pop up Reality but like you say better now than in the middle of winter with the little one! How much longer until your new arrival? x

Yeah, I know...just need to try see the positives lol baby is due on 11th August!! Not long to go really :) I started reading your diary yesterday will finish it off today, I can relate to it all!

Virgin called me last night and offered me the same package for £22.50!!! Can you believe it, you have to actually committ to cancelling and then they call you back, much less than the £48 I am paying that apparently they could do nothing about!! So called Sky and cancelled and sticking with them.

I posted the wallpaper and had people fighting over it in minutes lol wish I had listed it for more, but still it is £50 more than I had yesterday! Lady is coming on Friday to pick it up, so can get it paid into the bank and into my £1000 for my Dad.

Spent £30 on food yesterday, £45 on petrol and £12 on my eyebrows so a spendy day but all in budget. Girl doing my eyebrows smelled so nice and when she told me her petrol I was nearly on my way to Boots, but luckily the time I got back in the car I couldn't be bothered, but not good that tireness won rather than determination not to increase my debt!!

Today should be a low spend day, brought breakfast and lunch to work and going home after work, but do need to pop into Lidl to get some chicken.

Off to have some breakfast xx

  • What a long week for a 4 day week!! I have been so so tired this week, but thank goddness it's Friday!!

Last night I deep cleaned, zoflora'd and bleached (3 bottles worth!!) everything in site so going to go home and do nothing else other than empty the dishwasher and put a washing on. My marine has been away all week but is home today so as soon as I get home I am having a shower, putting my pyjamas on, ordering an Indian takeaway and not getting off the couch all night!!

OH will probably get takeaway, I spent £2 on 2 turns on a football card in work but hoping that's my spending done for the day! xx

  • p.s I have just read a great book the past 2 days, couldn't put it down. Is called 'Behind Closed Doors' about the perfect husband and wife, well that's what they protray, but behind closed doors it is not what it seems.

This is what the back of the book says...

Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace: he has looks and wealth, she has charm and elegance. You'd like to get to know Grace better. But it's difficult, because you realize Jack and Grace are never apart. Some might call this true love.

Picture this: a dinner party at their perfect home, the conversation and wine flowing. They appear to be in their element while entertaining. And Grace's friends are eager to reciprocate with lunch the following week. Grace wants to go, but knows she never will. Her friends call—so why doesn't Grace ever answer the phone? And how can she cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim?

And why are there bars on one of the bedroom windows?

The perfect marriage? Or the perfect lie?
