Last night only ended up costing me £15 on a Chinese takwaway, we decided not to go out and just stay in instead. My date friend?? (I don't really know what I can refer to him as lol) brought some beer and wine over.
Today I've just been tidying up and cleaning nearly bought some bedding online but told myself I def don't need it and it is not an essential - small victory!
I am going round to my friends for a catch up tonight, she is making dinner and I am bringing a bottle of wine I have from home so NSD for me!!
Off to walk the dog then steam clean all my floors when we get back..wild Saturday xxStarting debt £18,675.63

You have had a really big success! Not ordering is huge! Well done!!!! :T:T:T:beer:
I too am having a wild Saturday...face timed my two year old granddaughter, ate breakfast my sweet OH cooked (an everyday occurrence) and going out later for my Bountiful Basket. It's such a money saver for me to use this program. Every week local fruits and veg are trucked in from the area. It's fresh and at a greatly discounted price. I order every three weeks as there is so much produce, it takes us that long to use it all. We pick it up at a local doctor's office parking lot. We have twenty minutes to pick it up or it goes to a local food bank.
Yes, I'm a wild child!:j:j:j:j:j:jOverprepare, then go with the flow.

Lol total wild cats in this diary today then as I am cuddling a teething baby and that's my Saturday it seems. May treat myself from the rocking and mix it up a bit by sorting some more stuff to sell! Lol0

Hello!
So we have another naughty slipper-upper! Yay! I always feel so silly on here slipping up so it's nice to see other people do it too. The thing is we are new to this and we wouldn't be in debt if we weren't ultimately bad with money so it makes sense that it doesn't always go to plan. Then I read weebits diary and feel waaaaaayyyy better. (Whoops I spent £20k on my wedding... Whoops I spent £10k on a holiday)
I am one of these 'your debt is a crisis' mindset people. Paying back the debts is the main priority. Next year I'm going to have birthday, Christmas, yearly spend saving accounts but for now I just attack the credit cards. Next year the emergency won't be as critical in that I will accept that we are repaying but we need to budget meanwhile. It'll be building my new life time mantra plus we will be nearly there I think.
Another thing you're the same as me is that I don't trust myself with credit. I close all my credit cards immediately. And my overdraft is £100 purely in case payments come out funny. I 'dont' have an overdraft if you see what I mean. I would transfer to a new bank - £150 is worth it and you do not need £2500 just in case. Bite the bullet. You've done so well without the credit cards. You can do it!
You need to get your bum on YouTube and work out what make up you should use now that's more budget friendlyxxxxx

We definitely are wild ones...!!
Kitten, there plenty of slip ups having over this way, but lessons being learnt along the way.
I can't really downgrade make up, I have experimented with loads for years and what I use right now is a winning combination....it is pricey but I will just need to budget for this out of my 'pocket money' and ask for it as birthday/Christmas gifts...I do use stuff that lasts so it's not a monthly expense.
I don't think I am mentally ready to give up my £2500 overdraft just yet, but I am finally of the mindset that it is NOT MY MONEY so don't use it like it is. I have £1000 in my emergency account, and ideally I would like to build that up to about £3000 - I have never had savings! I have always been that person who felt they MUST spend every penny before pay day like it was a necessity lol
Mila, your vegetable source sounds wonderful! I would love that. I did have something a few years ago where every week they would delivery a box of lovely fresh organic fruit and veg that was all locally grown, but it was SO expensive...so that won't be happening! I have a local greengrocer and butcher less than a mile away, I might give them a go next week as oppose to Lidl, but I don't like the "surprise" at the till when they add it up...it's like the dreaded pic and mix, fill the bag up tell yourself its about £3 max and then fuming when it's £6 but still pay!!
Nothing much, working away and not spending so that's a bonus! I have a free 3 day trail at a local fancy gym so off to make use of this tonight! xxStarting debt £18,675.63

How have your debt repayments gone this month? I have not had the overpayments in the amount I was hoping, but did make some progress. So, overall I'm pleased.
My middle daughter got back from Aruba and will be taking the granddogs we have been keeping home on Sunday. She lives about 3 1/2 hrs away. She's the UPS business manager for the SE part of our state. She's working out of the office here for the next two days. She said she walked in and the drivers (mostly men) immediately started coming to her with their complaints. She talked to each one and said mostly they were just whining. She sorted out a few things. If ever there was a person born to boss men around...it was Trisha.:DOverprepare, then go with the flow.

I only really made minimal payments this month so I could have a £1000 emergency fund. I made a few little extra payments and did pay £350 back to my daughter meaning next pay day on the 15th I will be able to pay £1000 and that is one debt gone!!
At least you have made some payments, anything going down it better than up!! Slow and stead wins the race...
Granddogs lol they are the only grandchildren I am willing to accept for about 10 years, I hope!!!
Men moaning and whining....never! :rotfl: Sounds like your daughter is the right woman for the job to keep them in line! And a bonus that you get to see her since she's working closer to home.
My daughter is off to America for 3 weeks in Summer, she is off to San Francisco with 3 of her friends...I'm jealous! Not going away this year on a proper summer holiday....Anyone else going away to make me jealous?! xxStarting debt £18,675.63

I'm like you, I like expensive skin care & beauty products. All I'm buying atm is face wash, foundation, concealer & face cream. I've taken to breaking open all my products if I can't easily get to them and scraping out every last bit using coffee stirrers
DH thought I was mad, but I was getting an extra 1-2 months out of everything. I've also started mixing BB cream and foundation together and it just makes it last soooo much longer.
