in Credit cards
In june this year i agreed a payment plan of £5.00 per month for 12 month with no interest for one credit card. i got this in writing to confirm it.
a month later i was falling behind on mastercard and called again and they agreed that i can pay £5.00 per month for 3 months for this card with the understand that intrest cannot be stopped as they have already done this with one card. this agreement was agreed over the phone with a helpful person but no letter was sent to confirm it.
now i've started getting calls from a 08708503492 number asking why i have not paid the mastercard statements which they now want £250+ by 17 September because i've missed minimum payments of £50 and paid £5.00 when i could of paid more but was told not to because it would make my 12 plan void, which makes sense - if i could afford £50 per month why would i be on a payment plan -
they are telling me it shows nothing about any agreement for a mastercard on their records and that i would have needed to send in a second financial statement to make an agreement however i was told in july i did not need to send in a second financial statement. i have sent a written complaint to halifax about this and await the outcome however they keep calling and even called my parents house 5 times in a one day. each time i try and explain they give me the same rude answer as if im lying even when it shows on their system im making payments of £5.00
also calling the 0870 number doesn't work because a recorded voice says they tried to call today and will try later then hangs up.
I'd really appreciate anybodies help/advice with my problem
