Hello all,
I was wondering if someone might be lovely enough to help with a quick question? I've ordered a MacBook Pro 13", 2015, 128GB. I was hoping to add a small-ish SD card, 64GB should do the trick. On the Apple website, to check what type of SD card should work, it says : 'The SD card slot can use cards that are Standard SD (Secure Digital) 4 MB to 2 GB, SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) 4 GB to 32 GB, and SDXC (Secure Digital Extended Capacity) 4G B to 2 TB.'.
I've come across this SanDisk Ultra SDXC 64GB from Argos - is anyone able to confirm whether this will be suitable?

Thanking you kindly!

Yes it should be fine but do bear in mind SD cards should not be considered permanent storage or a replacement for an SSD or HDD. Make sure you keep a back up of what's on the SD card if it's important.
NB updated version of that card from Amazon which has twice (80MB/s vs 40 MB/s) the transfer rate but the same price:

Thanks Fightsback, that's much appreciated! It does sound like it needs to be an SDXC, so thanks for spotting the faster version on Amazon for me. Thanks again! =]... Just Keep Swimming ...0

Hi
Not sure which card you need, though I was delighted when the card from tom tom satnav in my 2011 clio works in my macbookReplenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
Should be fine with any/all of cards already mentioned. Be aware though that the card will not sit flush when inserted. If it’s going to be a permanent fixture you may be better off with a micro SD shoved in a mini drive or similar. Slightly dearer solution and slower, but a very neat solution. I use a Sandisk 64GB micro SDXC as part or my Time machine backup. Works well.0

Thanks B_G_B, will keep that in mind and take a look at a Micro SD with adapter to see what may work better. Should only need to be temporary, as and when needed, so I'll pick the cheapest option first I think. Thanks very much for your reply!... Just Keep Swimming ...0
