I do not have any direct debits but i will set 1 up with paypal and another with a magazine/charity.

What bank is best?

I know m+s have a good deal at the moment.

First direct give £150 for switching bonus and you don't need any direct debits

Normally need a minimum of 2.

If you switch another account to another bank then add 2 DD's to that then you'll get your second bonus if you're successful. :P

Nationwide pay £100 for each person you refer with max of £1000

Yes, good point! Shame really as otherwise I'd have an easy £1000!

In addition, you’ll need to pay in at least £1,000 each month or have another product – such as a mortgage or savings account – with First Direct to avoid a £10 monthly fee.

What is the best way around this?
