What to do with 10k?
MoneyEM
I have 45k in savings and I don't know the best place to put my money so it works for me.
At the moment, I have filled up my ISA allowance with 15,240. The remaining 30k is sitting in my Santander 123 account, but I'm aware that no interest is being earnt on anything over 20k.
I had tried to apply for a few higher rate accounts 6 months ago (I believe one might have been TSB) but they were declined - I think this was because I was applying to a few at the same time... I can't find any other faults looking at my file...
I am looking to purchase a house in the next few months when I find somewhere suitable, so is there anything I can do with this money to maximise it's return? I am mindful of applying for a new bank account just before wanting to apply for a mortgage.
Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!

If you cannot or do not want to open high interest current accounts, put the £10,000 into a savings account so that you at least earn something.
