Approved or Not

On looking for a BT for myself, was shown the MBNA card was suitable for myself and I was pre-approved for the 39 month deal @ 2,98 % balance transfer.
On going to proceed and completing the form as requested was then advised I was not eligable for the 39 months deal, however I could apply for a 20 month 0% card.

Not sure on this as in the write up it states if pre-approved then you will get the offer shown, however in this instance it is not the case,,???
Guess my question would be is this right.?

Which means not everyone will get the full 39 months.

What they seem to be saying is that you have been approved for the card but they are only offering you 20 months.

We say 'up to' 39 mths as some may get 20 mths 0%, and a higher 3.49% fee, depending on credit score
