Does anyone know what's happening at the Earl Shilton Building Society? I am a member, but have recently noticed they seem to have suspended account opening to new customers. The following statement is on their website:
Please note that currently Heritage, Progress, Regular Monthly Saver, Monthly Income Shares, Capital 90, Select 120, 90 Day Cash ISA, Instant Access Cash ISA, Junior Cash ISA, Enterprise and Treasurers Accounts are temporarily suspended for the opening of new accounts.
Just curious.

Double Top - Is a Share Account still available to adults living within certain postcode areas - This would appear to rule out all the other accounts having been suspended to new account openings due to an imminent announcement re being taken over.

interesting. i'm not sure i would make that assumption blf, maybe they are just simplifying their account offerings, and there will be new details released soon. or perhaps you are right:think:0
