Importance of name on electoral roll

I want to ensure im in the best position possible to apply for credit in a few months time.
My bank account details and national insurance card have always stayed in my maiden name.
However I use my married name at work and on the electoral roll in my previous property. I have now separated from my husband and am using my maiden name again on the electoral roll for my current property. I'm after two bits of advice please:
A) should I write to experian, equifax and callcredit to ask for a note to be put on my credit files to explain the above; and
should I change my name at work back to my maiden name so it matches my bank details and any future credit applications (I didn't want to draw attention to my separation).
Any advice appreciated! Thanks

They are not the ones issuing and underwriting the cards or loans.
Why not apply via your bank they already are fully aware of your financial history, names address etc.0
