What's the length of the overstay and are you still within 28 days of the date on the letter.

If you are less than 20 mins overstay then use the "grace" period.

Also appeal to ECP within 28 days to get a POPLA code to use later.

Have you read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES yet? This is your one stop shop on how to beat these private parking scams.

Euro Car Craps are BPA members so you should be sending the BPA appeal letter in blue that you will find in the aforementioned NEWBIES thread.

Are there any signs when entering that forecourt showing limits? If not, then on what basis are they charging.

in answer to the questions the driver was waiting 45 mins, the letter turned up on Friday the driver didn't look for signs as he thought it was a normal forecourt

OK so same as all other cases, use the BPA member first appeal from the NEWBIES sticky thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hi Guys
appealed the above which was rejected, they have sent a POPLA reference and state that if I appeal to them I give up the right to a discounted fine amount.
although im the reg keeper the car is a lease one, I was going to state that the driver was my friend who was on holiday from Spain, he does actually live in Spain, am I still liable or will they cancel it.
I have not admitted to them yet who the driver is

do NOT lower yourself down to the level of the scammers.

if it gets as far as court , would you lie in there?

PS: you have just admitterd on a public forum that you were driving , please go back and edit the words "I was waiting 45 mins, I didn't look for signs as I thought it was a normal forecourt "
    to read "the driver was/is/etc"

Don't be daft. Forget the discount and forget any fibs about the driver.

You have a POPLA code and you need to just create a 'throw the kitchen sink at them' POPLA appeal like the ones you see on the forum at the moment (all over the first few pages of this forum, - have a trawl back looking for 'POPLA help' thread titles). Learn from them!

Other examples are already in post #3 of the NEWBIES thread. Show us what you cobble together based on some good research over the weekend/next week.

Guess what ECParks do when they see a very detailed and long POPLA appeal? THEY GIVE UP.
