New garage

Hi
My garage is currently in my back garden and so taking up garden space as well as falling to pieces. So I was thinking if I had one built down the side of my driveway I could use it as a utility room as I would also be able to enter it from my back kitchen door.
The driveway is too narrow to be able to put a car in (and get out)!
I had plans drawn up and planning permission obtained at the same time as for a rear extension
But the builders garage quotes are 8.5 and 9.5k, it's is essentially only a roof, front and back wall as it would be sandwiched between my house and my neighbours 2 storey extension.
Is there a cheaper way of putting a store down the side of my driveway? Bearing in mind I had a quote for a loft conversion (1 big bedroom) of 10.5k which I feel would add more value to the house!
Thank you

It all depends on materials and what your plans say. Take a photo of your drawings and blank out the address & names. Will have a quick look and be able to tell more if it's fair or not.0
