We are delighted to announce that the Bo’ness based Kinneil Brew Hoose has offered to brew us a special ale for this year’s Festival. Last year we tasked our Facebook followers to come up with a name for the ale, and ‘Laurale and Hardy’ was chosen to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Stan Laurel’s birth.
This year, we have until Thursday 28 January to come up with a new name for our 2016 ale, so please email us [EMAIL="marketing@falkirkcommunitytrust.org"]marketing@falkirkcommunitytrust.org[/EMAIL] (subject: Brew ) your suggestions or message us on https://www.facebook.com/silentcinemafestival/
The winner will receive 2 x tickets to our opening night screening of Earth (1930), on Wednesday 16 March at 19.30 a silent era Soviet masterpiece directed by Alexander Dovzhenko, accompanied by the premiere of a newly commissioned score created and performed live by Jane Gardner (on piano) and Hazel Morrison (on percussion).
